Viola Dialogues

The South African Viola Society (SAVS), in collaboration with the South African Strings Foundation (SASF), presents a carefully curated afternoon of delectable dialogues featuring two of South Africa's esteemed violists Petrus Coetzee and Azra Isaacs who will be joined on stage with violinists Annien Shaw and Matthew Stead, cellist Rosamund Ender and pianist Isaac van der Merwe.

The programme will showcase the ‘great mediator’ of the bowed strings family – the viola - and its many diverse functions as a chamber music instrument with works by Kodaly, Harley, Enescu, Borodin, Elgar and Turina.

The concert starts at 3pm at 6 Spin Street. Delicious canapés and drinks will be served directly after the concert, where we invite you to mingle with the musicians and continue the conversations.

Tickets from Quicket – R350 early bird special- (R400 at the door - Snapscan, cash and EFT payment options available) and R450 to be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a limited edition bottle of Middelvlei 2018 Lockdown Pinotage worth R2200. Raffle tickets will also be available for sale at the door.

All proceeds will go towards the SAVS and the SASF to help fund future viola projects.
