FNB Portside (23rd Floor)

ABOUT

Women in Angel Investing is part of a global movement to increase women’s participation in Angel Investing as an asset class. Led by a highly experienced group of local and international investors, this event is for women only and will introduce participants to the exciting world of Angel Investing and building a diverse investment portfolio.

INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAMME:

  • Be introduced to the concepts of Angel Investing
  • Learn about the investment process
  • Understand the post-investment process and time commitment
  • Be informed about tax incentives for South African investors (Section 12J of the Income Tax Act) (James Maule from PWC will unpack the latest tax developments relevant for Angel Investors)
  • Network with like-minded and experienced women

Be inspired for all the right reasons. Angel Investing allows you to invest into early-stage businesses that have the potential to be the next big thing. You can begin building your investment portfolio with a modest amount and own shares in the businesses. This means you'll share in the success if there is a buyout from later stage investors or an IPO (Initial Public Offering). Occasionally, this can happen quickly, but generally these are long term investments.

Business Angel investing is relatively new in South Africa. Be one of the pioneers—join an exclusive, like-minded group, take charge of your investment portfolio and help talented entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
