ABOUT
#PitchPerfect Sponsorship Workshop presented by Ignite Talent Lab, is a great opportunity for clubs, academies, event organisers, community development projects and organisations in the sports, arts and entertainment sectors to gain valuable insights into the difference between fundraising and corporate sponsorship, and what corporate sponsors look for when they invest in a property.
Delegates will not only gain valuable insights into the global sponsorship landscape; you will get to know who sponsors what and why, and what you need to do to develop a compelling event or programme that will attract the attention of potential sponsors.
As an added bonus, you will walk away with the tools and templates to develop a professional and effective sponsorship plan for your organization and pitch that perfect opportunity to potential sponsors and partners.
This workshop is developed and facilitated by Talent Management and Social Innovation Specialist, Debra Barnes. With over 15 years in events, marketing and sponsorship under her belt, she has managed a number of high-profile projects including the Gary Player Invitational Global Series (US, UAE, UK, China, SA), Discovery Get Active Weekend, Engen Soccer, Basketball, Cycling and Athletics Sponsorships, to name a few. She has been instrumental in the the bidding processes to bring the Olympics, World Baseball Classic and Cape Town Grand Prix to Cape Town. As the founder and CEO of Ignite Talent Lab, Debra is passionate about women’s leadership development and as a result has launched [R] EVOLUTION – Women Leaders in Sport - due to take place in March 2018.

Exciting news as media/advertising specialist, Basil Fortuin joins us at our #PitchPerfect Workshop, sharing interesting insights into the sports fan, coming out of the IAB Sports Fan Poll, a collaborative study between IAB and The Space Station.
Basil has been in sports media since 2010 with Kick Off magazine, and then moved onto newspapers, out of home and digital. He is currently Client Lead Business Development Manager at The Space Station - the digital sales division of Media24/24.com
