DIEPKLOOF, THIS ONE IS OURS.

For too long, experiencing a proper farmers market meant leaving Soweto and travelling somewhere else.

On 05 December 2026, that begins to change.

Diepkloof Farmers Market is creating a new home for local food, fashion, music, families, entrepreneurs and the community. A place to discover local businesses, spend time with your people and experience Diepkloof differently.

This is more than somewhere to shop.

It is one market with four different experiences throughout the day.

ONE MARKET. FOUR EXPERIENCES.

10:00–12:00

LEARNING & OPPORTUNITY TENT

The market begins with purpose.

Expect practical conversations around entrepreneurship, financial literacy, skills development, career guidance and youth opportunities, together with community-focused initiatives and giving back.

12:00–16:00

FAMILY MARKET

A relaxed afternoon for families and friends.

Explore local food, fashion and lifestyle stalls while children enjoy dedicated activities and family-friendly entertainment.

16:00–19:00

MARKET SOCIAL

As the afternoon progresses, the energy changes.

Expect DJs, live performances, games, competitions, creator moments, brand activations, food, drinks and a social atmosphere made for enjoying Diepkloof with your people.

19:00–22:00

NIGHT MARKET — STRICTLY 18+

When the sun goes down, the Night Market begins.

Enjoy evening shopping, food, drinks, live entertainment, DJs and the final celebration of the day.

The Night Market is strictly for guests aged 18 and older. All guests under the age of 18 must leave the event by 19:00. Valid photo identification may be requested before access to the Night Market is permitted.

Phase 1: First 200 tickets FREE

Phase 2: R50

Phase 3: R80

Phase 4: R100

Each ticket phase is limited. Once one phase is sold out or closed, the next ticket price becomes available.

The earlier you secure your ticket, the less you pay.

KIDS’ ADMISSION

Children under the age of 10 enter free.

Every child must have their own free Kids Pass and must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Children aged 10 and above require a standard event ticket.

All children and guests under 18 must leave the event before the Night Market begins at 19:00.

IMPORTANT FREE-TICKET INFORMATION

The first 200 complimentary tickets are valid for entry before 12:00 midday only.

Free-ticket holders must arrive and have their tickets scanned no later than 11:59. From 12:00, complimentary tickets automatically become invalid.

Late free-ticket holders will not be admitted using the complimentary ticket and will not be permitted to purchase replacement admission at the gate.
