ABOUT

Movie Trailer

The South African premiere of Radical Love, a documentary film about Satish Kumar. Known for his 8000-mile peace pilgrimage, Satish Kumar is an Indian pacifist, activist, author, and educator who has been inspiring global change for nearly 70 years.

Taking us between his home in Southern England and a profound experience in India, Radical Love captures Satish Kumar's transformative journey. From sessions at the ecological institute in Devon that he founded, Schumacher College, to heartfelt moments with his friend Vandana Shiva, this intimate portrait showcases a life infused with the powers of simplicity, collaboration, and love.

Directed and produced by Julio Hey, and written by Julia Pasmanik.

Present at the screening will be a few Schumacher College alumni, who are hosting a post screening discussion. The ticket also includes a bowl of soup and some bread to be eaten before the screening.

The Institute of Relational Being is excited to be an international distributor of the film Radical Love (2024).

Through this, we will be promoting the 'Radical Love in Action' movement, leveraging the ethos of Satish Kumar's teachings and the principles of IRB, which is one of many legacy organisations of Schumacher College.

This movement will include screenings, panel discussions, workshops, keynote talks, and the establishment of radical love clubs in colleges around the globe.
