FRED KHUMALO is the author of 15 books, which include novels, short story collections and works of biography. His latest work is the novel Two Tons O’ Fun. He has won numerous honours, including the European Union Literary Award and the Humanities and Social Sciences Award. He holds an MA Creative Writing from Wits University, is a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, a Fellow of the Academy of the Arts of the World (Germany), and is also a PhD (Creative Writing) candidate at the University of Pretoria. He is Adjunct Professor of African Literature at the University of South Africa.
KEVIN VAN WYK grew up in Riverlea and attended schools in Riverlea,
Coronationville and Parktown. He studied law at the University of the
Witwatersrand, and qualified as an attorney in 2005. Kevin practiced as an attorney for three years, after which he moved into the corporate sector as a legal adviser, holding a variety of positions in the banking, hospitality and telecommunications sectors. Chris van Wyk – The Irascible Genius shares the stories that are closest to Kevin’s heart, reflecting the richness and diversity of experiences shared with him by family and friends.
LINDIWE SANGWENI-SIDDO is a veteran hotelier who holds a BSc degree in Hotel Management from Penn State University. She is currently the chief operating officer and a board member of City Lodge Hotels. As the founder of Pronet, an intergenerational networking forum, Lindiwe fosters self- development and career progression for young people, with a particular focus on facing challenging business environments in various industries. She enjoys family time and traveling with her husband Salif.
