ABOUT
Passion Feast Family Camp in Bethlehem
Bethlehem Christian Centre would like to invite you to a time of celebrating Easter as the greater South African church family. Easter is the time we commemorate how Jesus paid the ultimate price and showed His passion and love for humanity by coming to die on the cross and to rise triumphantly on the third day – all for our salvation! We believe this should be the highlight of our Christian calendar and what could be better than to share it with our whole church family – fellowshipping, worshipping, feasting, kuiering and braaiing together.
The Passion Feast (formerly the Global Legacy King’s Feast) starts on Friday evening, 30 March and lasts until Monday morning, 2 April 2018.
We are really excited to host Pastor Tommy Deuschle from Zimbabwe, the Executive Director of CMEDIA AFRICA, as our guest speaker. We were introduced to Tommy at the recent Heaven in Business conference in Hillcrest and recognized that he is an amazing hope carrier and that this attribute could be so relevant in our South African context in this season. He leads the creative process at CMEDIA AFRICA, a Zimbabwean production company, telling Africa’s stories by producing notable productions for television and other media spaces. He is also an entrepreneur who helped build businesses in the US and Zimbabwe. He is a speaker, writer, and co-founder of Emerging Ideas, a business incubation hub and also the founder of Pitch Nights, which is a launchpad for young people to showcase their ideas and connect them to potential investors all over the world. He sits on the board of Celebrate International and is a Global Shaper under the World Economic Forum. In 2015, the Zimbabwean National Chamber of Commerce recognized him as the Most Innovative SME Person of the Year. In his spare time, he enjoys crocodile hunting and growing his own coffee. He is also a singer-songwriter and is married to Rachel. They have 3 children, expecting their fourth. Follow this link for more of Tommy’s ministry in Zimbabwe.
Bethlehem Christian Centre Family cannot wait to host this event. We have an extended campsite right next to the church and a full 38 hectares to enjoy should you want to camp with your family. Bethlehem and surrounds also boast high-quality guesthouses for accommodation. All catering is for individual families to arrange, but there will be select meals available for purchase ahead of time (see tickets on this site). The programme allows for plenty of interaction time with one another and then some time just to relax. The programme is arranged so that we braai together every evening after sessions to enjoy and get to know each other better.
Children’s Programme
We will be having a programme for kids 4-12 years old which will run together with the main sessions.
Child Care Service
For your convenience, we will be providing a child care service by paid caretakers for children ages 1-3 during the main sessions.
Camping information
We have 100 campsites available with power points and modern ablution facilities and a scullery. Please note that fees for camping will this year be per person and not per campsite: R75/adult and R50/child (4-18). Please book on this site. The Dihlabeng Mall is only 2 minutes away, should you need to purchase camping and food supplies. Please remember to bring enough warm clothing and blankets since the mornings and nights can be quite chilly in the Eastern Free State!
