We are thrilled to announce our second workshop series, "Ageing Optimally: Embracing the Journey Ahead." This series aims to empower individuals of all ages with the knowledge and tools to age well in South Africa. We believe that ageing should be a fulfilling and enriching journey for everyone, and we are here to provide you with the insights to make that possible. We encourage professionals working in elder care, care workers, older individuals, adult children with ageing parents, and mature adults entering elderhood to participate.

Elderhood – Ageing as a Developmental Stage

Workshop One will challenge the current ageist narrative, explore what it means in the South African context, and discuss the physical, social, and cultural factors that contribute to it. This foundational workshop will set the stage for understanding elderhood holistically and developing a personalised plan for optimal ageing.
