Seeking money from wealthy people, also known as high net worth individuals (HNWI), is among the least understood realm of fundraising. It is not is not ‘ordinary’ fundraising. A random survey, in preparation for this course, of 100 South African non-profit organisations, revealed that only 18% were receiving money from HNWIs. The wealthy give for different reasons and understanding why they give is key to this lucrative source of money. Join experienced fundraiser, Jill Ritchie, as she shares over three decades of raising many millions from HNWIs.

Jill has successfully designed, implemented and managed major bequest and legacy initiatives for numerous organisations both in southern and South Africa as well as the UK.
