In November 2016, Serious About Games challenged digital creatives from the Western Cape to propose a #seriousgame design that allows poor youth to think innovatively, reimagining their communities for greater prosperity & economic opportunity...

The 4 finalist teams are building their prototypes and business plans as we speak, and gearing up for their final pitches to the judging panel...

THE FINAL...
- Tuesday 4 April at the Bandwidth Barn in Woodstock
- Pitches start at 3.30pm (Please don't be late!)
- Winner announcement by Provincial Minister of Economic Opportunities, Mr Alan Winde, at 6.30pm followed by drinks with our Serious About Games community

About the competition...
This innovative project was delivered by the Cape Innovation and Tech Initiative (CiTi), in partnership with the Cape Craft and Design Initiative (CCDI), 67Games, Interactive Entertainment SA (IEASA); and is fully supported by the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism. The competition received a huge amount of support, and a total of 16 team entries made up of individuals from an array of professional backgrounds.
