Musical Reflections with Dylan Tabisher: Saturday 7pm

Sat Aug 24, 19:00 - Sat Aug 24, 20:30

Mowbray Methodist Church (The Thomas Mossop Memorial Hall)

ABOUT

Concerts created to bring the music closer.

Classical marimbist Dylan Tabisher brings his musical reflections to the intimate space of the Mowbray Methodist Church (The Thomas Mossop Memorial Hall) for two special performances this August.

The music selected is a reflection of works that have continually inspired and remained with Dylan throughout his journey - from the very first Bach Prelude he learned, to works he studied and performed in Tokyo, Japan, with the legendary marimba artist, Keiko Abe. This special programme showcases the dynamic - expressive range of the 5 Octave Concert Marimba, from explosive virtuosity to the simplicity and beauty of a peaceful hymn.

Seating is limited and there are two performances to choose from - Saturday 24th August at 7pm and Sunday 25th August at 3pm. A complimentary drink is included in the ticket price for you to enjoy after the concert where you can talk to Dylan about his journey, the marimba and the music.

The 95 year old Mowbray Methodist Church (The Thomas Mossop Memorial Hall) is situated on the corner of Roseberry and Cheltenham Road, Little Mowbray, and there is plenty of parking close to the venue.
