ABOUT

The Advertising Media Association South Africa aims to educate people with an interest in the media, marketing and advertising industry, with a view of improving knowledge and skills in media decision making techniques.
To foster communication between members of the industry and encourage social and professional interaction between members, students and educational bodies.
To offer help and guidance to members on vocational issues within the media, marketing and advertising industry – not excluding financial assistance at the discretion of the local chapter.
 
There are a variety of benefits which are allocated to all AMASA members.
During the year of membership our AMASA members have the opportunity to attend a number of discounted or free networking events and educational forums. These events host top speakers on relevant media topics in order to share new learnings, encourage debate and allow for networking opportunities. Members are welcome to put forward individuals from their membership teams as guest speakers or hosts.
Members are invited to partake in various annual fundraising events and activities, such as the AMASA Pub Quiz. These events provide our members not only with a day out of the office but the chance to network while giving back to the industry.
These on-going fundraising events are in support of the AMASA Learnership Programme (ALP) which provides education, support and internships to up-coming talent and provide an injection of this talent and skills back into the industry’s top agencies and media owners. Members are able to apply for access to these interns for added resources and the opportunity to mentor and mould talented new graduates.
The annual calendar ends off with a bang each year with the infamous AMASA Party; an evening of festivity to end the year past.
Members are also offered preferential tickets, reduced rates for this event, as well as sponsorship opportunities.
Through the above activities, members of AMASA thereby play an active role in growing the talent of the industry and their own institutions through our expanded education and training programmes, fundraising initiatives and gain valuable networking opportunities and other events.
