Cliqq Singles Co-Working Fridays

Take a break from your normal work environment on selected Fridays and join us at Vida Nova in Hout Bay for a refreshing co-working experience! This is the perfect setting to recharge your batteries and connect with like-minded singles while working remotely. The theme for the day is self-love, because everything thrives when you start by loving yourself.

• Cost: Free for Cliqq members or R350 for a day pass (food, beverages and certain activities separate separate)

Safety Rule: Bring a Wingman/Wingwoman

We encourage you to bring along a single friend, and we won't be monitoring your every move. We aim to keep things classy but can't watch everyone individually. Staff is available if needed, but your friend knows you best. Bring a buddy (ideally another single friend) to look out for you and double as your wingman/woman.

Schedule:

• Breakfast*: Enjoy breakfast served in the restaurant from 9am - 11am.
• Co-working: Co-working hotspots are open from 8am until 5pm.
• Cocktail Party: End the day with a delicious cocktail and some music.

Co-Working Environment:

We've transformed the Vida Nova hotel into the ultimate high-end co-working space for the day.

You can:

• Nestle by a fire in the library overlooking the mountains.
• Hot desk in a nature pod in the gardens or at the co-working desks in the atrium.
• Need a private space for a Zoom call? Book a meeting time at reception and we will reserve a meeting pod just for you.

Musical chairs are encouraged throughout the day to fully experience your surroundings and meet other singles working remotely.

Break Activities:

Need a break?

• Wake up and refocus with a cold plunge followed by a swim in the heated pool.
• Nature walk. Take a walk through the beautiful gardens to get some fresh air and stretch your legs.
• Massage. Book a massage or treatment to unwind. Bookings must be made before Friday. Cliqq members get 20% discount.

Pet-Friendly:

If you're a dog parent and your pooch is well-behaved, bring them along as your wingman. Vida Nova is a pet friendly hotel.

Networking & Socialising:

Throughout the day, get to know people over coffee, chit-chatting at a hot desk, taking a break in the hotel gardens, or warming up at the fire place. The day is designed to get to know people organically in a relaxed environment rather than through forced interactions.

Approaching a cutie can however be intimidating, so we have crafted a few sneaky ways to help facilitate initial connections. All of which are completely optional and just an extra little bit of fun and play!

These include:

·        Coffee. Everyone gets 1x buy one-get-one-for-a-cutie-coffee. Meaning you pay for one coffee, and you can choose to send a second coffee for free to someone you fancy, along with a love note.

·        Optional scavenger hunt. Everyone gets 1x clue to discover a part of the hotel. Hidden in that spot is a raffle ticket for 2x drinks at the cocktail party.

After the day's work, unwind with a sunset boogie to a DJ. If the weather permits, it will be outside with a view, The party officially ends at 9pm, and you’re free to move on to your next event.

Extended Stay:
