We welcome Dr. Adrian Perkel to present a neuropsychoanalytic understanding of aggression and the clinical implications thereof in couple work.
The workshop will cover the following sections:

Dr Adrian Perkel, D.Phil, is a clinical psychologist in full-time private practice in Cape Town. He has worked with individual adults, couples, and families for over 35 years, specialising in couple therapy, and is involved in couple therapy training and supervision. He is a former senior lecturer in psychology and has numerous publications in various areas of psychology and relationship theory. He is a member of various professional bodies including the Association of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists (ACPP) and is on the International Advisory Board of the International Journal of Couple and Family Psychoanalysis.
His recent book “Unlocking the Nature of Human Aggression: A Psychoanalytic and Neuroscientific Approach” is published by Routledge and will form the theoretical foundation and is available to purchase on Loot
