Undivided Roots

Undivided Roots is a dynamic Roots Rock and Reggae Band based in Pietermaritzburg. The band consist of four brothers which are Black Wadada on lead vocals , Spear On Drums , Kingdom on keys and lastly Judgement on Bass. 

In the early 90 there was a street musician whom used to busk in the city of Pietermaritzburg and his name was Roots Ntsangu Cele. An activist, a man with tremendous talent, a speaker of note and a warrior. He was a lion amongst men. Roots was many things he was a rock guitarist in a reggae band and is the founder of this amazing quartet. 

Roots was well known for his unapologetic opposition of the system and he home schooled all his children and also taught them music instruments. 

Undivided Roots music ranges from the likes of Kiss, ACDC, Eagles, Rock Stone, Bob Marley Grand funk and more. They have had the opportunity of sharing music at so many festivals including the Easten Garden Show, Mith, Poets Porch, Royal Rock show, The Waves Venue , One love Bob Marley festival and Cannabis expo just to name a few.

Their music come with a strong message on beautiful melodies and grooves to keep you on your feet. They are currently working on original music at Sleepy Hollow studios that is set to be released late December 2024.
