ABOUT
Dangled is a dark psychosexual horror comedy, Dangled explores themes of sexual violence, perceptions of reality, and the creative process. An adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's Diary of a Madman written by award-winning writer Louis Viljoen and performed by acclaimed actor and comedian Rob van Vuuren, Dangled promises to captivate, entertain, and unsettle audiences in equal measure. Dangled is the recipient of the 2016 Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award, the 2016 Audience Choice Award at the Cape Town Fringe, and the 2017 Pebble Trust International Touring Bursary to the Brighton Fringe Festival.
“Hilarious, desolate, brilliant and cutting – a compact slice of…genius.” – Bruce Dennill
“Van Vuuren's performance meets each challenge that the writing lays down before him, layering upon the words a taxing physical score that pushes him to his limits.” – Broadway World
“…a masterfully penned and devilishly disturbing comedy-tragedy.” – The Critter
