Texx and the City’s new event series, On The Record powered by Shure, is all about celebrating the symbiotic nature of Music and Storytelling, centering each performance around the Music as well as the Storytelling element attached to it.

For his show in October, Steven Dayvid McKellar from Civil Twilight will craft an illuminating, introspective set that will take you on a journey of his choosing, explaining the stories behind his most celebrated songs. Teaming up with drummer Jude Kenrick (Easy Freak, Ard Matthews) and his brother Joel Kenrick on guitar, Steven is set to take his audience on an epic storytelling trip that spans the length of his incredible career.

Taking place at The Outlore Base in Cape Town, the venue will be transformed and styled for each show to reflect the mood, but most importantly, the tale that each musician wants to tell.
