St David's Inaugural Gwijo Festival

ABOUT

In celebration of Africa Day, St David’s Marist Inanda proudly presents the Inaugural Gwijo Festival. Nationally, gwijo songs are sung in celebration and mourning as a form of self-expression that unifies people. Africa Day and Gwijo will be celebrated in a way that has never been done before. On the evening of the 24^th of May, 6 schools from Johannesburg and Gwijo Avenue will be performing amagwijo. Proudly South African food will be sold at the venue.
