ABOUT
The event will take place at Friends BAR & DINER in Santorini, Oliphantskop, Langebaan.
Project Luke, a small initiative with grand aspirations to assist those in need, will donate all proceeds to individuals requiring aid on the West Coast.
The event will feature live entertainment, a Potjiekos Competition, and an eagerly anticipated Talent Competition open to participants of all ages.
Potjiekos Competition Rules
1. Team Composition: Teams must consist of 2-4 people.
2. Cooking Time: Teams have 3 hours to prepare and cook their potjiekos dish.
3. Traditional Cooking Method: The dish must be cooked in a traditional potjie pot over an open flame.
4. Serving Requirements: The dish must be served hot, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.
5. Judging Criteria: A panel of judges will evaluate the dishes based on the following criteria:
- Taste (30 points): flavor, texture, and overall deliciousness
- Creativity (20 points): originality, use of ingredients, and presentation
- Presentation (20 points): visual appeal, garnish, and serving style
- Use of Required Ingredients (30 points): incorporation and balance of flavors
6. Winning Team: The team with the highest score wins. In the event of a tie, the judges will deliberate and choose a winner based on overall impression.
7. Sales and Charity: Teams can sell their potjiekos after the competition to recover expenses or donate proceeds to our Charity Project.

Vendors Terms and Conditions
1. Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 25/06/2024 to secure a spot at the market.
2. Payment Terms: Full payment is required upon application. No refunds will be issued for cancellations.
3. Stall Allocation: Stall locations will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserving a specific stall location is optional and requires an additional fee.
There are limited space available inside.
4. Setup and Pack-up: Vendors must set up between 7:30 am and 8:30 am and pack up between 5 pm and 6 pm. No early pack-up is allowed.
5. Market Hours: The market will run from 9 am to 5 pm. Vendors must be present and ready to sell during these hours.
6. Products: Only approved items listed on the application form may be sold.
7. Electricity: Vendors requiring electricity must bring their own leads and adapters (single phase) and pay the additional electricity fee.
8. Tables, Chairs, and Shelter: Vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, umbrellas, and gazebos (if needed).
9. Conduct: Vendors must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
10. Terms and Conditions: By submitting this application, vendors agree to the Terms and Conditions of What’s On West Coast Charity Festival.
11. Proof of Payment: Vendors must email proof of payment to [email protected].
12. Cancellation: What’s On West Coast Charity Festival reserves the right to cancel the market or vendor participation due to unforeseen circumstances.
Talent Competition Terms and Conditions:
1. Eligibility: The competition is open to individuals or groups of all ages and talents.
2. Registration: Participants must register by 25/06/2024 to secure a spot in the competition.
3. Performance: Each participant will have 5 minutes to perform their talent on stage.
4. Judging Criteria: Performances will be judged based on talent, creativity, and overall entertainment value.
5. Original Work: Participants must perform original work or have permission to use copyrighted material.
6. Conduct: Participants must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
7. Liability: The competition organizers are not liable for any injuries or damages during the competition.
8. Photography and Videography: By participating, participants grant permission for photos and videos to be taken and used for promotional purposes.
9. Rules and Regulations: Participants must adhere to all rules and regulations set by the competition organizers.
10. Cancellation: The competition organizers reserve the right to cancel or modify the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
11. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved by the competition organizers' decision, which is final and binding
