Calling all Nelson Mandela Bay Music enthusiasts - mark your calendars! The landscape of music festivals is about to be transformed with the advent of The Sing Out Loud Festival, a groundbreaking event uniting nine diverse genres under a single roof. This inaugural festival promises an immersive experience like no other, celebrating the rich tapestry of musical expression.

Set to take place over two consecutive weekends, on the 24th May to the 26th May and the 31st May to the 2nd June, at the Savoy Theatre in Perridgevale, Gqeberha. The format will be in the form of 9 short concerts, each 50 minutes long. Concerts will be repeated during the festival to give audiences the best opportunity to watch all the local talent in action. The shows, with a cast of 6 – 8 performers, will each focus on a specific musical genre to highlight the amazing diversity of talent here in Nelson Mandela Bay. The Sing Out Loud Festival is a testament to the universal language of music, where boundaries dissolve, and melodies transcend genres across nine distinct musical realms:

• Broadway/Musical Theatre: Immerse yourself in the magic of Broadway with show-stopping performances and unforgettable melodies from the world of musical theatre.
• Classical & Opera: Experience the transcendent beauty of classical compositions and the breathtaking vocals of opera singers, transporting you to a realm of sophistication and emotion.
• The Divas – Female Vocal Powerhouses: Witness the awe-inspiring talent of female vocalists as they command the stage with their powerhouse voices and magnetic presence.
• Rising Stars: Discover tomorrow's chart-toppers as up-and-coming artists showcase their raw talent and infectious energy.
• Jazz: Indulge in the smooth sounds and improvisational brilliance of jazz, where every note is a testament to creativity and innovation.
• R&B and Motown: Groove to the irresistible rhythms and soulful melodies of R&B and Motown, igniting the dance floor with timeless classics and contemporary hits.
• Afrikaans Music: Celebrate the rich heritage and vibrant culture of South Africa with the infectious rhythms and heartfelt lyrics of Afrikaans music.
• South African Hits: Dance the night away to the biggest hits from South Africa, spanning a diverse range of genres and styles.
