Children's nature play: Breath work and art work

ABOUT
We are pleased to offer this wonderful opportunity for children to connect to nature, mindfulness and creativity. This workshop at the OZCF will be an experience woven together using movement, exploration, imagination and art activity.
It will include a playful and embodied learning of some of the plants found at the farm through meeting, tasting and smelling them.
We will use our breath to guide us on a sensory walk of the farm. The main activity involves using breath to "blow" an artwork into being.
Suitable for ages 5-10. Fruit snack and tea provided. Drop and go is encouraged but if a child prefers a parent to stay that is also welcomed.

I am a naturalist, life enthusiast, and joy catalyst. When we’re connected deeply with our nature, which is part of the natural environment, our inner joy expands. Children are the most beautiful example of connection to nature and expression of inner joy. It is imperative that their connection is nurtured and fostered, as they are custodians of the future world. To advocate for the wellbeing of children is to advocate for the wellbeing of the planet. My formal education was in the Biotechnology field, but I knew my purpose lay elsewhere. I left to Asia to teach English for 4 years, gaining nearly 3 years of experience with kids aged 3-6. I quickly realised that even more than finding joy in curating spaces for children to thrive, my work needed to be aligned with the natural world. Forest School found me at the end of 2022, and I spent a year observing and holding space for children in nature. Bliss!
I am currently training as a kids’ yoga facilitator. I am also trained as a laughter yoga instructor and Secret Sunrise facilitator. Joy, movement, play, and holistic well-being are my motivators to keep doing what I do.
