Dr Rafael Calixto - AESTHETIC AND FUNCTIONAL REHABILITATION WITH COMPOSITE RESIN

This lecture will cover the topic of aesthetic and functional rehabilitation using composite resin in dental restorations. The program will focus on the importance of color, shape, and resistance in composite restorations for achieving natural-looking and long-lasting results. The use of facial and occlusal veneers to restore both aesthetics and function will also be discussed. Additionally, the planning and treatment of dental wear will be addressed to ensure successful outcomes in composite resin rehabilitation.

Dr FB Fowler - THE POWER OF TOOTH WHITENING

This lecture will focus on the power of tooth whitening, covering various aspects such as the etiology of dental stains, peroxides and their mechanism of action on teeth, different techniques and alternatives for tooth whitening both at home and in-office. Dr Fowler will also discuss what to look for in different whitening products available on the market, considerations about the use of light and heat sources in the whitening process, non-vital tooth whitening, and enamel microabrasion. Furthermore, we will explore how tooth whitening can be used as a marketing tool to promote a dental practice, with a practical demonstration of a pre-filled whitening tray like Opalescence Go. Hands-on exercises may also be included, such as custom whitening tray fabrication, in-office whitening with Opalescence Boost, and enamel microabrasion with Opalustre. By the end of this lecture, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of tooth whitening and be equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively perform tooth whitening procedures in their practice. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Fowler received his dental degree from the prestigious University of Sao Paulo – USP. He furthered his education by obtaining a Post-Graduation in Marketing Administration from FAAP in Brazil and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University in the USA.
