Managing discipline in the workplace – an essential course for Managers and Supervisors in your business.

This public training course empowers Managers and Supervisors with the knowledge and tools to effectively manage day to day workplace issues such as late coming, absenteeism, excessive sick leave, disrespectful employees, disregard for instructions and authority, and disciplinary processes in the workplace. This upskilling will ensure fair and effective labour practices and avoid costly CCMA risk for the employer.

  • The employment relationship – duties and rights of the employer and employees
  • How to properly handle late coming, absenteeism, negligence, disrespect frorm subordinates.
  • Managing misconduct (how, when and why to issue warnings or have disciplinary hearings in the workplace)
  • How to investigate workplace incidents and misconduct, and determine the appropriate course of action
  • How to initiate and represent your Company in disciplinary hearings - present evidence, call witnesses and cross examine effectively, ensuring substantive and procedural fairness for the Company.

She has a B.Com degree in Industrial Psychology and a proven track record as a Human Resources and Labour Relations Specialist, with over 20 years of experience in her field. She has served on Executive and Management Committees in some of the largest listed companies in South Africa and has consulted for one of the top consultancies in the country. Nolene has a history of successful performance at the CCMA and bargaining councils, having represented hundreds of companies in Arbitration cases, in a wide spectrum of industries.
