ITI Education Events offer high quality continuing education courses in implant dentistry aligned to the ITI philosophy of evidence-based treatment approaches.

The ITI Section Southern Africa proudly presents the ITI Education Day in Cape Town on 21 & 22 June 2024, featuring renowned international speakers Dr. Maja Chmielewska and Dr. Kris Chmielewski from Poland, and our local speaker Dr. Geoff Patterson.

About our speakers:

Dr. Kris Chmielewski and Dr. Maja Chmielewska are a dynamic father-daughter duo of expert speakers from Gdansk, Poland. Dr Kris Chmielewski has a Master's in Oral Implantology and over 25 years of experience, he leads the Smile Clinic, Advanced Implant Centre, here the focus is on aesthetic dentistry and implantology. Dr. Chmielewski is widely recognized as an international lecturer in implantology, controlled bone regeneration, aesthetics, and he is particularly famous for his brilliant dental photography and teachings hereof.

Dr. Maja Chmielewska is a renowned practitioner specializing in implantology and periodontics. Graduating from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2016 and holding a master's degree from DTMD University in Luxembourg, she's an expert in immediacy, digital solutions, and guided surgery. Dr. Maja Chmielewska has a global presence, having lectured in over 20 countries, co-authored the "Guided Surgery" book, and she leads the Young ITI Study Club in Poland, showcasing her leadership and influence in the field.

Dr. Geoff Patterson is a distinguished periodontist and implantologist, earned his dental degree and a Master's in Oral Medicine and Periodontics, with distinction, from the University of Pretoria. An ITI Fellow and speaker, and former Vice President of the South African Society for Periodontology, Implantology, and Oral Medicine, he has a wealth of teaching and speaking experience. Currently, he practices full-time in private practice, specializing in implant dentistry, in Pretoria.
