Spoken Consciousness is a series of spoken word events designed to provide a safe space for consciousness-raising among young minds. We believe in the power of poetry and spoken word to inspire, educate, and empower.

This edition of Spoken Consciousness holds particular significance as we commemorate the 6th anniversary of MaWinnie Mandela's passing on April 2nd. In honor of her legacy, we have dedicated this event to her memory. Our theme for all participating poets is "Mother of the Nation," reflecting MaWinnie Mandela's role as a nurturing figure and a symbol of hope in the struggle against oppression.
