A rare opportunity to hear one of Franz Schubert's last works, " Winterrise", Winter Journey. The work is a song cycle for Baritone and Piano. The poems are by Wilhelm Muller. The poems consider an artist late in years, observing a parallel between the coming of the winter season, and the time left for the artist drawing to a close. The piece is very demanding on the two performers, who in this performance are Chris Vale and Eugene Joubert.
