idle AUTO EXPO (IAE) powered by SHIELD CAR CARE celebrates a lifestyle, and experience, where the most innovative come together to showcase their automotive passion. We bring you a two day automotive expo which brings together an array of leading Automotive & Lifestyle exhibitors from all over the country to network with like minded enthusiasts, showcase their latest vehicles, products, services and offerings ranging from OEM & Aftermarket Retail, Accessories, Performance, ICE (In-car entertainment), Gaming, Clothing (Streetwear) to Mancave goodies and much more. The Event is hosted at the 13000sqm Montecasino Events Area which is one of SA's Premier Family Entertainment venues and boasts a footfall of over 9million per annum.
WHAT's NEW FOR 2024?
- AUTOMOTIVE NIGHT MARKET - This year we will start the Saturday show at 12pm and run it till 9pm because for the first time in SA we will host a Night Market with entertainment specifically for the Automotive scene. The Night Market will start from 6pm-9pm on the Saturday ONLY and our Exhibitors will run crazy discounts on products/ services for that time only. There will also be a hype of entertainment on our main stage. Your Saturday tickets includes entry into the Night Market. So best book your tickets early as they are limited for this experience!
- WIN OVER R20000 worth of prizes! - The aim for 2024 is to offer more Automotive focused activities for our Spectators where they can win awesome giveaways from leading brands in the industry. For our 2023 event we gave away R20000 worth of prizes to lucky Spectators over the weekend and this year we plan on giving away much more, so come through, enter the cool contests and get your prize! The only Automotive expo that allows spectators to walk away with awesome prizes!
- THE HYPE IS REAL - As we plan ahead we are busy adding more value added activities for our spectators so keep your eye on our socials (links below) for all the hype leading up to the event.
WIN A MAKE-OVER OF YOUR RIDE (SPECTATOR COMPETITION - T's & C's Apply)
This year we will be giving away a MAKE-OVER OF YOUR RIDE to one lucky spectator. The draw will take place on Sunday during prize giving and the selected winner has to be present, if not, we will then redraw until a winner is present.
HOW TO ENTER: Your ticket purchase is your automatic entry into the competition (ONLY the Adult tickets are valid for this competition). When purchasing your any ADULT ticket you will be asked for the Year, Make and Model of your car and a recent exterior photo of your car which you can upload, please answer correctly and upload a clear photo because should it be incomplete your entry into the competition will be null and void.
IMPORTANT CRITERIA: The Spectator must own a vehicle that is currently in daily use, free of any structural damage/mechanical & electrical faults/defects and be in possession of a valid drivers license. For detailed T's & C's or Competition info go here: idle Auto Expo Competition
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING THE WEEKEND:
- Come check out our Race car, Drag Car, Custom Bike & Custom Car Display areas.
- A DJ will entertain the crowds throughout the weekend as well as present many giveaways to the visitors on stage.
- Wrapmasters: vehicle wrapping contest, how fast can you wrap a vehicle part!
- Motor Mouth: Think you can replicate your favourite car's exhaust tone with your mouth?
- Cram My Ride: Bring your friends or family and let's see how many can fit in our car in front of media and spectators.
- GT Challenge: Sim Racing at its best. Come compete for an awesome prize!
- Street Dance Battle: Both days will be a hype with professional frees stylers battling it out for the ultimate bragging rights
- Burger Eating Contest: The fastest spectator to eat a chillie burger WINS!
