The first KlubKulture for 2024, and our first anniversary event - we're almost too excited to unleash our lineup showcasing some of the city's favourite young artists making massive waves locally and abroad. Another one that's very close to our hearts friends!

The Artists:

First up is a young lady we've dubbed the Imperator Furiosa of techno. A quiet storm in a tea cup, Jaide holds nothing back and prefers her rumbling, infectious take on groove to do the talking. With some new releases out on global labels, Jaide's been hard at work imprinting her brand on a worldwide audience.

Known to turn a venue upside down and inside out - there was simply no doubt that we had to feature one of our personal favourites again for this event, and ... We. Cannot. Wait!

Cullen Enslin is a passionate techno DJ/producer that employs a hypnotic, mental sort of groove to his music and sets. Furthermore he keeps a constant move of distinct percussion blended with polyrhythmic synths. His sound's being showcased on various record labels namely Underground Africa, Arhythmic Records, Death Bell Records, Trau-ma and the KONCEPT imprint which he helps manage. Sharing the stage with artists like Daniella da Silva , Julian Jeweil, Cecilia Tosh, his raw yet contemporary sound design and evocative soundscapes captivates the listener from start to finish.

Booking manager, event co-ordinator, resident artist, and all-round techno simp (as we call him), KULT is tasked with setting the scene for us. His learned ear has meant that no two performances are ever the same with percussive, high-energy, rolling beats to set the foundation for what will be a standout night for our team, boasting some of our current favourites all on one card!

A fast-rising force in the electronic music scene, young talent WELSO has been crafting his signature sound relentlessly already featuring on a few of the city's most exciting events. He has a deep love for blending raw and hypnotic sounds whilst also pushing very unique soundscapes.

His youthful energy behind the decks is what's caught our attention and he is quickly become an artist to keep an eye on, poised to take on the Mother City with his no-nonsense approach to techno and subgenres.

In pure KlubKulture ethos, we're excited to have these young artists join us and showcase what they're capable of, spotlighting the best in underground SA talent.

The Space:

Always trying to maintain a minimal, music-focused approach to our events is tricky. The allure of venues offering flashy screens, and bright lights are an exciting prospect. But we're always curating with one focal point and what's most important - the love of great electronic music, from some exciting artists.

This event, we looked at gathering some truly talented young entertainers in the South African underground techno scene for a line-up that embodies our approach to events - zoning in on vibe!

It was obvious then to partner with newest venue Xone, to bring our minimalistic approach to life. An incredibly intimate venue, Xone offers an up-close and personal experience with the artist and the dancefloor - allowing you to stomp to your heart's (feet's) content in pure underground fashion. Come prepared to move!
