Gavin Edwards, the accomplished singer/songwriter from South Africa, initially captivated audiences as the frontman for the band Allegory, fostering a substantial following at popular nightclubs in the late nineties and early 2000s. In 2002, responding to a request from ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden, Gavin and his band, later named "Franklin," made a pivotal move to Ireland, where they achieved an Irish Top 20 hit in 2004 and performed at renowned venues such as "Oxegen" and "O2 in The Park."

Gavin's solo journey commenced in 2007 after parting ways with Franklin, encompassing global travels, collaborations with industry giants, and live sessions for Brian McFadden and Enrique Iglesias. Returning to South Africa, Gavin entered the X-Factor in 2014, setting the stage for his notable Runner-up position in The Voice South Africa Season 1. Following The Voice SA, Gavin continued his ascent in the music industry. His Blind audition song, "Say Something," accumulated over 9.9 million views. The aftermath of The Voice SA Finale brought forth a significant milestone as Gavin inked a lucrative deal with Universal Music SA, leading to the release of his debut album, "Silver Skies." The album's first single, "Sparks," immediately claimed the No.1 spot on iTunes on its release day.

Gavin, twice invited by SA Rugby to sing anthems, witnessed the album produce five singles and garnered a nomination for a South African Music Award (SAMA) in 2017.
