Green Whittling Workshop

Green whittling is the art of working with wet wood. In this workshop, you will learn to use the tools and skills needed to start a journey of woodwork. With the instruction of Gabriel, you will make yourself an eating spoon from poplar.

About the facilitator.

Gabriel Powell is a talented and passionate woodworker his journey started in permaculture, milled wood as an extension of this philosophy, making furniture. He studied master's in ecological design thinking and has done an apprenticeship with an English woodworker, focusing on green woodwork and traditional furniture, practicing off-grid woodworking in Amazon for 7months, 3 months in Brazil, living under a rock and carving for 2 seasons in Rocklands, He currently makes commissions and has exhibited carvings.
