A moment to gather and climb for greatness, to give thanks for Sisterhood & Brotherhood as we walk together and witness the ansestors footprints leading the way.

Start Location : Van Riebiek Park, Vredehoek

This trail will take us up to the washing post an ancient place of gathering by the woman of Cape Town to wash there clothing and discuss business, war and trade resources. The next stop is the beautiful resting place of our ansestors, with the abdus klip at the bridge and the special painted Kramat.

Our final stop is the water of thunder, used by spiritual practitioners of multiple faiths to cleans themselves there locks and even sangoma with there patients arrive. Holding special significance to the Rastafari Tribes as the place to wash there dreads. The concept of cleansing and decending the mountain on foot is seen daily in Vredehoek usually with sacred water in 5ltr bottles considered holy water from the mountains!
