ABOUT
Understand the principles of mosaic knitting and how to change colours using only slip stitches.
Learn the basic stitch combinations and how to read a knitting chart.
Basic knitting skills required: must be able knit plain and purl.
Yarn will be supplied: please bring a pair of 4mm needles
Please note entry into Kirstenbosch is not included in the ticket price but participants only pay R60 student entrance fee on presentation of their Quicket booking ticket.

In 2023 the Cape Guild of Weavers hosted an innovative and exciting event to help revive enthusiasm for ancient textile skills like weaving, knitting, felting, spinning and dyeing.
The two-week event offered multiple workshops, hosted by experienced fibre artists at the Richard Crowie Hall in Kirstenbosch. This year the event is back!
ExTex24 will again offer an extensive array of fibre arts workshops. We'll also have our pop-up shop back bursting with all manner of felt, yarn and stunning lifestyle products and wearables for purchase.
