Bay Cataract Services NPC
Cataracts are the leading cause of preventable blindness in the world and in the Port Elizabeth metro there is a progressive increase in the number of patients in desperate need of surgery. Bay Cataract Services was registered in 2023 in an attempt to help alleviate this burden. The main aim of the company is to fund cataract surgery for patients from the metro and surrounding areas who cannot access surgery elsewhere. Bay Cataract services is closely affiliated with Bay Eye hospital where many of these surgeries take place. Bay Cataract services also liaise closely with the local provincial eye clinic and it is envisioned that funds will also be allocated for assistance with contact lens placement, cornea transplants, retinal surgery and strabismus operations. Your support towards this concert is greatly appreciated as all ticket proceeds and donations will go towards restoring the sight of those unable to afford these surgeries.
