Join us for a special family-friendly hike and sunset picnic at the exclusive Alverstone Wildlife Park! This privately owned game reserve, normally closed to the public, offers beautiful hiking trails and various game (no Big 5).

6km Trail for the More Adventurous

After the hike, unwind at the beautiful sunset lookout rock. Bring your favorite beverage—wine, beer, coffee, or tea—and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

Casual hiker: Grade 2

Distance: appr. 5-6km (shorter -2km- option for the elderly and for families with toddlers)

Duration: 2-3 hours

Cost: R199pp (U13-R129pp)

This fee includes entry fee to Alverstone Wildlife Park, professional guide,exclusive use of the venue, picnic blankets, awesome pics and videos

What to bring:

snacks, water or cold drinks, backpack.

Walking shoes/takkies with good grip is a must! No flat shoes allowed!

Some snacks and drinks for the picnic. Picnic blankets are provided on first come first served basis.

If event is cancelled due to bad weather, it will be re-scheduled and new date will be given.

Please also note that we need min 10 confirmed bookings to go ahead with this event.. If quota is not met, event will be cancelled and refund will be processed.

Grading Of Hikes:

Grade 1 Easy. Minimal fitness required

Grade 2 Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness

Grade 3 Moderate. Physical fitness advisable

Grade 4 Strenuous. Physical fitness essential

Grade 5 Very strenuous - high level of physical fitness essential
