This privately owned game reserve, typically closed to the public, offers stunning hiking trails and the chance to spot various game (no Big 5).

After the hike, unwind at the beautiful sunset lookout rock. Bring your favorite beverage—wine, beer, coffee, or tea—and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

Hike Details:

• Difficulty:
• Regular Hiker: Grade 1
• Casual Hiker: Grade 2
• Distance: Approximately 5-6km (shorter 2km option for elderly and families with toddlers)
• Duration: 2-3 hours
• Cost: R199pp (U13-R129pp)

This fee includes entry to Alverstone Wildlife Park, a professional guide, exclusive use of the venue, picnic blankets, and awesome pics and videos!

What to Bring:

• Snacks, water, or cold drinks
• Backpack
• Walking shoes/takkies with good grip—no flat shoes allowed!
• Some snacks and drinks for the picnic. Picnic blankets are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the event is canceled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled, and a new date will be provided.

Please note that a minimum of 10 confirmed bookings is required to proceed with this event. If the quota is not met, the event will be canceled, and refunds will be processed.

Grading of Hikes:

• Grade 1: Easy. Minimal fitness required
• Grade 2: Not too strenuous. Moderate fitness
• Grade 3: Moderate. Physical fitness advisable
• Grade 4: Strenuous. Physical fitness essential
• Grade 5: Very strenuous - High level of physical fitness essential
