ABOUT
This year Frost celebrates 30 years in the music industry as a performing and recording
artist. He has recorded with Arno Carstens, Neil Sandilands, Koos Kombuis, Chris
Chameleon, Anton Goosen, David Kramer, Karen Zoid, Blues Broers and many others.
He has performed live with the majority of major artists in South Africa, most recently
together with Arno Carstens, Neil Sandilands and Jake Gunn. International artists he
has performed with are the likes of Ali Farka Touré and Finley Quaye, and has toured
with Simple Minds, REM, and supported the Rolling Stones. Albert has performed at
legendary and exclusive international music festivals including Isle of Wight, Hard Rock
Calling and OppiKoppi.
His most recent album, Sacred Sounds, released in 2021 was nominated for the 2022
SAMA Awards for Best Rock Album. The album saw Frost returning to his heavier rock
roots, packed with riff-driven rock anthems reflecting the trials and tribulations he has
gone through since recording began in 2019 with producer Theo Crous. While there is
an angrier edge to it, Frost maintains his bluesy afro-pop sensibilities throughout the
album.
Doors open at 5pm and show starts at 8pm
