Here is a unique opportunity to hear one of South Africa's leading tenors - Siyabonga Maqungo, singing Dichterliebe by Robert Schumann and An die ferne Geliebte by Beethoven. Song recitals are rare enough in South Africa and with a tenor of this calibre and a specialist accompanist in Florian Uhlig, professor of piano at Lübeck Hochschule, this promises to be a concert of rare distinction. Siyabonga is one of the soloists of the Stadtsoper in Berlin and is fast making a name for himself as the leader in his field in Germany. We are very lucky to hear him in South Africa and he will be doing only one performance of this in Johannesburg. Book now to avoid disappointment. The seating is not pre-assigned. It is general seating.
