The Long Shots - Latte Night Improv : The Improvised Comedy & Theatre Experience

The Long Shots and Truth Coffee present Latte Night Improv, a new monthly comedy event at Cape Town’s trendiest café. Following their previous standing-room-only shows at Truth, the troupe has been invited to perform a new improvised comedy special on the second Tuesday of every month over the winter season as the café expands its entertainment lineup. 

August's Latte Night Improv show will take place on Tuesday 13 August, start time 19:45, at Truth Coffee 36 Buitenkant Street, Cape Town. Tickets are R70 for general admission or R50 for students, and can be booked on Quicket or purchased at Truth. Pre-booking is advised. Truth’s bar will be open before and after the show as well as during intermission, with wine, beer, spirits, and coffee drinks available for purchase. 

The Long Shots are a talented international troupe of improvisational comedians, blending the comedy styles of South Africa, the UK, and the United States. Every Long Shots show is improvised on the spot—no script, no rehearsal, no plan—just extemporaneous comedic scenes prompted by audience suggestions. The Long Shots promise their audience a fresh, spontaneous, and hilarious show that has never been seen before and will never be seen again.

Originally formed in 2011, the troupe’s roster now includes Andre Ballot, Michelle Clarke, Rob Coutts, Eva Gilliam, Sara Hartinger, Robin Hitchcock, Guy Kaimowitz, Sipumziwe Lucwaba, Anneli Muller, Marcel Oudejans, Bill Russell, and Mark Sykes.
