Rutter Requiem & Gloria

ABOUT

John Rutter is famous for writing attractive and easily accessible music. Choirs love singing his music, and audiences love listening to it. For this concert, we have chosen some of his more attractive shorter pieces, as well as two longer and more dramatic pieces: the Requiem and Gloria.

All these works will be performed with orchestra, and his orchestrations are famously colourful and delicate. John Rutter has been to South Africa several times and has worked with the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg, and we feel privileged to be able to present a concert of entirely his music which will be an experience not to be forgotten!
