ALBERT FROST

Albert Frost is one of the most familiar and respected features of the South African blues-rock music scene. For the past three decades, the energetic performances of this accomplished guitarist have dazzled audiences as he deftly alternates between rhythm and lead, while showcasing acoustic and electric guitars. His first love is blues, stemming from the influence of his long relationship with the Blues Broers with whom he has performed since 1994. He has recorded with Arno Carstens, Koos Kombuis, Chris Chameleon, Blues Broers and many others. He has performed with every major artist in South Africa, and with international artists like Ali Faka Toure and Finley Quaye and toured with Simple Minds and REM, and even supported the Rolling Stones. His patent enjoyment of the music he performs and his instruments as well as his charming rapport with the audience, keeps his admirers captivated and returning for more.

THE BLACK CAT BONES

The Black Cat Bones is a multi-genre conglomerate of likeminded music makers from Gauteng, South Africa. Founded by Andre Kriel and Kobus de Kock jr. in 2007 and later joined by Gareth Bunge and Casey Rothman, their captivating performances and diverse repertoire have put them in a class of their own as they evolve from sub-culture champions to a group that’s adored nationwide by a constantly expanding, loyal following from all walks of life.

With the recent passing of singer and songwriter Kobus de Kock jr. the band has taken on a classic 3-piece identity, incorporating all their skills to produce not just a tight and solid live show but also a very well-trained improvisation element with loads of captivating ‘jam’ moments, making for a very exclusive experience at every event. They are also regularly accompanied by an array of the countries most talented collaborates and guest artists.

With the release of the 5th studio album ‘Book of Miriam’ in 2022 through indie pioneers JUST Music, the band once again showcased their diversity and understanding of their abilities as well as the music industry.

THE HONEYMOONERS

The Honeymooners are an Acoustic Folk / Country Duo from Johannesburg, South Africa. They are husband and wife Steve East (from the Alt. Country band Crystal Park) and Jolene East (aka Jolling).

After officially forming in 2018, the band has been lucky enough to play some amazing festivals including the Capital Craft Beer Fest, Splashy Fen, STRAB Mozambique(2018, 2022, 2023), Mieliepop 2023, Bos Boogie Music Festival and Zeegunst New Years Fest (from 2018 to 2022) - as well as shows at JHB’s legendary Radium Beer Hall, Hell’s Kitchen, Smoking Kills, The Green Craft Bars, JARR Bar, Otterlake Restaurant, Tweefontein Melkery, Railways Cafe Irene, Die Boskombuis, Smoke & Fire Benoni, Bohemian Groove Cafe Kaapshehoop, Dozi’s Back to the Roots, The Blue Moon Nelspruit as well as many more pubs, restaurants and markets around SA.

Their live performances are a quirky, fun and highly entertaining show where the two perform some of Jolene’s original songs, some songs from Steve’s band Crystal Park (done in a very different style) and some covers from some of their favourite artists from over the years.

.

Their rigorous touring schedule and die-hard attitude is testament to their commitment to their craft.

HOOT ‘N ANNY

HOOT ‘N ANNY ‘s music is an experience. They take you on a journey with their music, they make you dance, laugh and even cry. The uniqueness of HOOT 'N ANNY stems from the collaboration between husband & wife, Franco & Alouise Jamneck’s harmonies together with the right-on-the-note guitar work.

In 2005, walking in circles at a festival for days and singing along to one song ‘Honey it must be love’ by Stacey Earl & Mark Stuart, the flame was lit and the

couple started expanding their music knowledge. The couple soon got engaged and married in 2007, then the name “HOOT ‘N ANNY” came along. (In the old Americana, there was a saying - “Let’s go have ourselves a “HOOT ‘N ANNY” - it refers to a gathering of friend or a “party” these days.)

“HOOT ‘N ANNY” started singing cameos with artists like Karen Zoid, Arno Carstens, Black Cat Bones just to name a few and playing venues like Radium Beer Hall,

Die Blou Hond, Aandklas, P.O.P Art Theatre, Bioscope, Living Room, Cafe Barcelona, Arcade Empire, Randlords, Mercury, Botrivier Hotel, Observatory, Blue Moon, Kloof Hotel, also just to name a few. Then the events started rolling in, performing at fests such as Oppikoppi, Strab Festival (Mozambique), FORR (Mozambique), Woodcrock, Park Acoustics, Otterlake Easter Festival and on the worldwide internet phenomena Balcony TV.
