Almenkerk Wine Estate, a small, boutique, family-owned winery in the cool-climate Elgin Valley, is a true testament to the van Almenkerk family's remarkable journey. Having moved from Belgium and the Netherlands to South Africa in 2002, they were instantly enamoured by the country's beauty and warm-hearted people. Natalie and Joris van Almenkerk, the proud custodians of the estate, have nurtured the land, cultivating not only exquisite grapevines but also a bountiful array of apples and pears.
