ABOUT
Prepare to be moved, inspired, and entertained by "Every Brilliant Thing," a hilarious and captivating theatrical production that explores the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. This heartwarming, comedic coming-of-age story celebrates the small but brilliant things that make life worth living.
In "Every Brilliant Thing" by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe, a young boy grapples with the emotional challenges of his mother's struggle with depression and suicide. To help her find hope, he begins compiling a list of everything brilliant in the world, starting with simple pleasures like ice cream, water fights, and staying up past bedtime to watch TV, to quirky items like old people holding hands. As he matures, so does the list, transforming into a touching testament to the power of positivity in adversity.
This one-man show is brought to life by the excitingly versatile Miguel de Sampaio and unfolds in a democratic, immersive "in-the-round" setting. Audience members are invited to participate in the recitation of items on the list, creating a shared and deeply wholesome experience.
"Every Brilliant Thing" is a testament to the enduring human spirit and the remarkable ability to find joy and hope in unexpected places. Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience that will leave you inspired and uplifted.
