Shabaka Hutchings: Solo Flute - Live at the Basement:

Shabaka Hutchings presents a solo performance highlighting various flutes collected from his travels around the world.

These include instruments rarely heard or seen outside museums that have been acquired through his relationships with flute makers over the years.

Some of the flutes presented are Japanese shakuhachi, Mayan Teotihuacan drone flutes made from both wood and clay, ocarinas, large bamboo side blown flutes, Fula flutes and many more.

The First set comprises only solo flute performance and second set is a special collaboration with Tumi Mogorosi.
