World Prematurity Day Celebration 2023

You are invited to celebrate World Prematurity Day with us.

World Prematurity Day is observed on 17 November each year to raise awareness of preterm birth, and the concerns of preterm babies and their families worldwide.

This #WorldPrematurityDay2023 we are focusing on the benefits of #KangarooMotherCare, including the power of the family when it comes to #SkinToSkin contact. Small Actions: BIG IMPACT

Event Details:

Date: 18^th November 2023

Time: 09:00 till 12:30

Venue: Bloemendal Oasis Deck, Durbanville, Cape Town

Tickets: R250 per person. Includes goody bag and light breakfast.

Babies under 6 months welcomed.

The program will consist of paediatricians, NICU nurses, psychologists, lactation specialists, and much more.

Did You Know:  

Approximately 15 million babies are born preterm each year, accounting for about one in 10 of all babies born worldwide. Premature birth is the leading cause of death in children under the age of five worldwide.
