ABOUT
Lean In is a documentary about community building and storytelling in the realm of psychological research on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) exploring the stories and narratives of postgraduate researchers in the UCT Psychology Department's Unsettling Knowledge Production on Gendered and Sexual Violence in South Africa Project. The documentary is a sensitive, emotional and introspective journey into how it feels for researchers to be doing research on SGBV in South Africa today, and a joyful celebration of their passionate, vibrant, and eclectic community within the Hub for Decolonial Feminist Psychologies in Africa at UCT which motivates them to keep on doing their research, which is contributing towards anti-SGBV activism in such important ways.
We invite you to lean in with us on 19 October 18h30 for 19h00 at UCT to share in this poignant, inspirational and heartfelt story of community, storytelling, and decolonial feminist love.
