This woman was of Syro Phoenician origin, not considered to be part of God’s people. However, what’s important is that she was someone with a problem and that she sought the solution in Jesus. Jesus responded to her faith and reached out to her in her own home. Faith is willing to accept just one crumb as being sufficient. Even a little bit is enough if God’s in it and what God wants is always enough. This faith came from “hearing the Word of God” (Romans 10:17).
