Friday Night Live is a series of beautiful, intimate performances from some of the most exciting talent Cape Town and South Africa has to offer, hosted at the KAYA Café. Friday Night Live is an event for performers to take in their own direction, creating an environment for audiences to engage deeply with the music, the meaning, and the people behind it all.

Moyoza is a rising South African rapper whose music draws inspiration from a mix of hip hop, trap, and R&B genres. Influenced by artists such as Tkay Maidza, Jean Deaux, Doja Cat, and PinkPantheress, with a strong foundation from the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj.

Moyoza's background as a first-generation South African with a Catholic schooling upbringing has shaped her unique slam poetry-adjacent rap style. Despite the limitations imposed by her conservative background, her musical talent and passion for creative expression were evident from an early age, honed in her classic violin and piano training. With raw and honest vocals that reflect her personality, Moyoza's music is an authentic representation of herself.

The show will be opened by two wonderful live acts who have both graced the KAYA stage before - Jarry Bitboi and Yamiko! As an extra treat we will have a vibey DJ set from Xara Craft and a special guest to close the show!
