Celebration of Fynbos - Guided walk in Fernkloof Nature Reserve, 23 & 24 September 2023:
Join this guided walk in Fernkloof Nature Reserve. Find the Spring flowers of the fynbos on the lower slopes and the little creatures that call this home.
This guided walk is presented under the auspices of the Hermanus Botanical Society's “Celebration of Fynbos 2023”. The walk will depart from the Fernkloof Visitors' Centre at 9h30 to 11h00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Depart from the Visitors’ Centre on Saturday and Sunday, 9h30 to 11h00. Book your place for R100 via Quicket, “Heaven in a morning walk” for the Saturday OR Sunday guided walk.

The Celebration of Fynbos reinforces endeavors to support Cape Whale Coast and Overstrand Municipality as a tourism destination.
Hermanus Botanical Society’s 2023 ‘Celebration of Fynbos’ event:
On the weekend of 23 to 25 September, the Hermanus Botanical Society will be celebrating the wonderful fynbos environment that surrounds us. The Fernkloof Hall will be transformed into an exhibition on Patterns in Nature. The Fibonacci sequence and fractals are everywhere in nature if you know where to look. This display will show you where to look and how to understand the amazing patterns that surround us. A nominal entrance fee to the Hall display will be charged for adults.
There will also be some fun, educational activities to entertain the kids.
You will be able to enjoy tea and coffee in the garden with delicious home-baked goodies and lunch will be our iconic boerewors or salad rolls with a glass of wine, local beer, or fruit juice.
Don’t forget to pick up a few plants at the Nursery’s plant sale, and shop for books and craft items, hand made by the Botanical Society’s enthusiastic sewing circle. At only R10 a ticket for the raffle, you will stand a chance to win amazing prizes.
