We will then give a brief introduction to the evening and great music will be spinning. The rest of the evening consists of free flow mingling and fun, interactive activities. You have complete control of who you decide to stay in contact with after the event.

I’ve never done anything like this before. What’s it like?
 
Our events make it very easy to meet people face to face. It’s interactive, lots of fun and not scary at all. Because we keep our total numbers low (below 40), you’ll get quality time to interact with people and you decide if you want to see them again.

Our events attract awesome and successful professional people from a variety of backgrounds across Joburg. Our clients are normally intelligent, attractive people looking for fun, unique experiences.  We target our marketing to attract the kind of people we would want to meet ourselves.. Singles Happy Hour exists to help you meet interesting people with fun, interactive experiences at great venues.
 
 
How many people will I meet?
 
We keep total numbers low (below 40) so you get quality time to interact and we aim for an equal number of ladies to gentlemen.
 
Do you always get an equal number of girls and guys at the events?
 
On most occasions, we’re able to get an equal or almost equal male/female ratio. It’s not a problem if we don’t get an exact ratio as there’s always plenty of people to meet.
 
Can I pay at the door?

You can book online at www.singleshappyhourjoburg.com prior to the event or stop by any time during event hours and register at the door.
 
Is there a specific age range for the event?
 
No there’s not. Our events attract young professionals of a variety of ages.
 
I can’t make it. Can a friend take my place?
 
Yes. Provided your friend is the same gender we can change a name until 4 pm on the day of the event. We’ll need you to contact us at [email protected] to do this.
 
What is your cancelation/refund policy?
 
Tickets to our events are non-refundable. If you can’t make it, please let us know by contacting us by 4 p.m. on the day of the event so we can prepare accordingly.
 
 
About our venues
 
Singles Happy Hour uses some of Joburg’s most epic venues. Our host venues are chosen for their ability to offer great services and ambiance.  We choose unique venues that are the kind of places that we like to go and we hope you’ll like them too.  
 
The host venue for the Singles Happy Hour Open House on Thursday, November 24th is The Blackanese Sushi & Wine Bar situated in the trendy new Maboneng Precinct (20 Kruger Street, Johannesburg 2094).  The Blackanese fuses African flavor with Japanese cuisine. Exclusive food and drink specials will be available for Singles Happy Hour.

How can I book for an event?

How long does the event last?
 
Our events last 3 hours, from 18h00 to 21h00.
 
What’s the dress code?
 
We don’t have a specific dress code. We suggest that you wear what you feel comfortable in and make an effort. Some of our clients come from work so they are wearing business dress and other have time to get changed first. It’s entirely up to you.
 
 
What’s included in my entry fee?
 
Your entry fee includes entry for the event and one complimentary welcome drink. Complimentary welcome drinks are available for the first 22 minutes of the event and must be redeemed by 18:22. 
 
 
Where do I park?
 
Parking is available along Kruger Street and throughout the Maboneng Precinct.
 
Is it safe? Will there be security?

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By attending Singles Happy Hour, you agree to the following: 

1. To participate in a Singles Happy Hour event, you must register and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (Agreement) and confirm that you have read these Terms and Conditions. This Agreement sets out the legally binding terms for your participation in a Singles Happy Hour event. Singles Happy Hour may modify this Agreement from time to time.

By registering for a Singles Happy Hour event, you are agreeing that Singles Happy Hour is not liable for any damages, direct or indirect, incidental and/or consequential, arising out of attendance at Singles Happy Hour events, including, without limitation, to damages arising out of communicating and/or meeting with other participants at these events. Such damages include, without limitation, physical damages, bodily injury and/or emotional distress. You also understand and acknowledge that Singles Happy Hour events are held at venues of which Singles Happy Hour has no control. In the event that you are injured or suffer damages in any regard at a Singles Happy Hour event, you agree to release Singles Happy Hour from any liability with respect thereto.

2. You must be at least twenty-one years old and single or legally divorced to participate in a Singles Happy Hour event. By participating in a Singles Happy Hour event, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

3. We will make every effort to hold events at the dates, times and locations specified on our web site/and or flyers. We do reserve the right to cancel and/or change event dates, times and locations although this happens very rarely. In the very unlikely event that circumstances dictate that we do postpone an event, you will be refunded your money in full. We also reserve the right to terminate or restrict your participation at a Singles Happy Hour, without prior notification. If your rights are so terminated you will not be entitled to a refund.

4. Singles Happy Hour is not a matchmaking service. Our goal is to help single people meet by providing them with a fun, interactive experience. Singles Happy Hour does not screen participants or verify personal information, such as marital status or any other aspects of their general background. It is up to you to clarify these issues to your own satisfaction. Attendance at any Singles Happy Hour event is done so at your own risk. You agree to waive all liability against Singles Happy Hour and the venue that this event is held at, any sponsors and/or partners associated with Singles Happy Hour and all staff members and volunteers associated with Singles Happy Hour.

5. Singles Happy Hour, its affiliates and/or various third parties do not guarantee that any participant will successfully match with any other participant or that participation will be successful or that participation will result in actual dates or introductions. You agree to release Singles Happy Hour, its affiliates and/or various third parties and assume the full responsibility and risk with respect to the outcome of any relationship that may or may not arise between you and other event participants.

6. Singles Happy Hour, along with certain permitted third parties, may photograph and/or make audio/video recordings of any of the Singles Happy Hour events. Such photographs may be used by Singles Happy Hour, its agents, representatives, successors and/or assigns for any legal purpose including, without limitation, marketing and advertising. No person shall be entitled to any compensation in connection with the use and exploitation of any photographs, audio and/or video recordings.

7. You agree to indemnify and hold Singles Happy Hour, its employees, volunteers, business partners, affiliates and/or various third parties, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your participation in any Singles Happy Hour event.

8. All title, ownership and intellectual property rights, including the rights to copyright, trademarks, service marks and logos (collectively, the “Intellectual Property”) are vested in Singles Happy Hour. Nothing contained herein should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right to use any of the Intellectual Property without the written permission of Singles Happy Hour.

9. These terms and conditions shall be deemed severable. In the event that any provision is determined to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision shall nonetheless be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

10. You acknowledge that you have read the Singles Happy Hour policy, the terms of which are incorporated herein. You may not assign, convey, subcontract or delegate your rights, duties or obligations hereunder.

YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED ABOVE.
