Who should attend?

Search Inside Yourself is an evidence based approach for anyone who wants to apply mindfulness-based emotional intelligence practices to enhance personal wellbeing, effectiveness and grow leadership capacity. This includes business leaders, managers, leadership teams, executives, aspiring leaders, academics, therapists, consultants and professionals across all sectors.

How is this going to help me in my job?

Mindfulness is a key tool towards becoming a leader who is strong in emotional intelligence and influence. Directly after attending the workshop, attendees will discover they have better judgment and emotional balance, increased emotional and cognitive resilience and renewed vision to achieve goals.

I am new to mindfulness.  Will this be over my head?

SIY is designed for people who are serious about reaching their full potential in business and life. If you’re committed to leading with excellence and cultivating qualities of awareness, focus, authenticity and compassion then you’ll love this course.

I am well established in mindfulness. Am I going to be bored?

SIY is a unique combination of mindfulness, emotional intelligence, neuroscience and compassion. Along with the course materials, this workshop is about “practicing” these skills, community-building and peer-to-peer learning. If you feel mastery in these areas, then this course maybe isn’t for you.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring an open heart, something to write with and something to write on. If you know that you need a particular snack (gluten free, a special protein bar, etc.) to keep you happy and focused we suggest you pack it!  We also suggest that you bring something warm to wear in case it gets a bit colder than you may expect.

Will the slides be available after the program?

Yes, the slides used during the program will be sent to you electronically after the program.

Are you going to feed us?

Tea, coffee and lunch are included and will be served on the premises.

What should I wear?

Wear something you feel confident and comfortable in.

Is parking available?

Parking is available at the venue and included in the price, but the Hotel does not guarantee sufficient parking for all attendees as there are a limited number of parking spaces available.

The Hilton Hotel is a 5 minute drive away from the Sandton Gautrain station.  The hotel provides a free shuttle service between the Sandton Gautrain station and the hotel.

Are there Scholarships available?

We have put aside a limited number of partial scholarships for, amongst others, not-for-profit organisations, non-governmental organisational, sole proprietors, independent consultants and full-time students. Is this course accredited?

Search Inside Yourself is accredited by the International Coaching Federation. Coaches now receive 12.33 Continuing Coaching Education credits when attending SIY. Find more information here.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

If you are unable to attend the program that you have registered and paid for, you have the following options:
Send a substitute of your choice to attend the program in your place.

• More than 2 months prior to the event: 100%
• Between 1 and 2 months prior to the event: 90%
• Between 2 weeks and 1 month prior to the event: 50%
• Less than 2 weeks prior to the event: No refund
